Radiology
ACRS has an X-Ray machine and we perform radiographs to aid in the diagnosis of various health problems in our patients. Thoracic or chest radiographs are performed to identify problems in the lungs, trachea, esophagus and heart. Abdominal radiographs are performed to identify problems with the liver, kidneys, spleen, stomach, intestines and urinary bladder. Abdominal radiographs are also used to diagnose pregnancy and give a fetal count prior to delivery. Radiographs are also utilized to diagnose problems with the bones such as collapsed disk spaces, fractures, bone infections and bone tumors.
We have partnered with Pet Rays Veterinary Telemedicine Consultants for consultations with Board Certified radiologists on select radiographs. We also process and send X-rays to Orthopedic Foundation For Animals (OFA) for pre-breeding health screens.
